Due to hot and dry weather conditions, Alberta is battling a large number of wildfires, with wide-spread impact to communities.
A new wildfire in northern Alberta has become the province's priority as firefighters battle dozens of wildfires across Alberta.
The wildfire near Fort Chipewyan, Alta., grew from 300 hectares to 4,000 on May 31st, reasulting in residents from various communities having to evacuate their homes. Fort Chipewyan is only accessible by plane or boat.

Wood Buffalo Community Foundation Ft. Chipewyan Emergency Relief Fund: Donations made to this project will be held in a non-endowed account for the response and recovery of Ft. Chipewyan.
Canadian Red Cross - 2023 Alberta Fires Appeal: Donations to the Canadian Red Cross will be used for immediate and ongoing relief, recovery and resilience efforts in response to fires, and community preparedness and risk reduction for future all-hazard disaster events within Alberta.
