WBCF is a local foundation of donors, dedicated to supporting charities and community initiatives in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo. Donors can choose to establish their own Donor Advised Fund (DAF), Scholarship, or donate directly to an existing endowment fund such as the Wood Buffalo Community Fund. Currently, WBCF stewards $5.5 million in endowed and non-endowed funds and, sine 2017, has granted $2.7 million to local charities. Healthy and vibrant communities, enabled through long-term social investment. This is our vision. The WBCF helps you give back to your community in meaningful ways. We connect people, families and companies with causes that inspire them within Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo. We are passionate about collaborating with others in the community to affect positive social investment.
WBCF enhances quality of life in the region by supporting community members and organizations in building long term, mutually beneficial relationships between donors and grantees. We provide grants to improve and enhance the stability and sustainability of the community.
